Sima

In Iran, Sima earned a degree in architecture, but faced gender discrimination that stalled her career. A friend told Sima about Upwardly Global and connected to a coach that helped her write her resume, taught her how to interview, and write a follow up email. She landed a job in interior design and thrived until Covid caused her company to make layoffs. She joined the table talk, which is an online community where she met other professional immigrant women. With this support of Upwardly Global and the online network of professional women, Sima found her confidence again and got a new job at Restoration Hardware. She also has her own clients!
