For seven years Haydee worked as an IT Professional at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in her home country of Peru. With experience in SAP security, process control, and IT auditing, she had a very marketable skill set. Still, after arriving in the U.S., Haydee couldn’t catch a break in her job search. While attending an Upwardly Global career summit in May 2010, she met her future mentor, Jason, an HR Professional.
Jason and Haydee worked together to revamp her resume, perfect her interview skills, and actively search for opportunities in her field. When Upwardly Global connected Haydee with a PriceWaterhouseCoopers recruiter for an informational interview, she was well prepared to make the most of the opportunity. And that she did. In September, after only four months of participating in the Upwardly Global program, Haydee was hired as an Experienced Associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Chicago.
