Upwardly Global Releases Statement on Haitians Refugees

For 20 years, Upwardly Global has been committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce- one that welcomes the experiences of our immigrant and refugee communities from over 150 countries and understands that they are assets to our country and workforce.

In solidarity with our Haitian alumni and jobseekers, we dismay at the inhumane treatment of Haitians at the Texas border last month. And we want to shed light on the incredible contributions of Haitians to our country–including those same members of our own community.

Over the coming weeks, Upwardly Global will be lifting up the stories of our Haitian community members highlighting their strength, courage, and talents. We hope to continue to foster conversation with communities and employers to reimagine workforce integration that is inclusive and rewarding for all of us.

Upwardly Global is a national nonprofit whose mission is to eliminate employment barriers for immigrant and refugee professionals, and advance the inclusion of their skills into the U.S. economy.
