NEW YORK — Upwardly Global’s President and CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar was recently featured as a guest on SiriusXM’s “Tell Me Everything” with John Fugelsang on Tuesday, March 21.

During the interview, Krause-Vilmar discussed the vital role of immigrants and refugees in the U.S. workforce, citing the fact that 85% of the growth in the country’s working-age population comes from these groups. She stressed the importance of seeing refugees and immigrants as assets rather than burdens, and of providing the support and resources they need to be included in the workforce and contribute to the economy.

“We need to do two things. First, we need the political will. And second of all, we need to start seeing immigrants and refugees as a win for our communities, a win for our ability to innovate, a win for our economy,” says Krause-Vilmar. “And by doing that, not asking ourselves the question, ‘Who should we let in?’ But asking ourselves the question, ‘How well do we help these people integrate so that we can create shared prosperity for all of us?’”
