Special Presentation by Fragomen for Employers on Legal Pathways for Ukrainians

On June 23, 2022, Upwardly Global welcomed our partners at Fragomen — the premiere law firm providing exclusively immigration service — for a special presentation on legal pathways for Ukrainian refugees in the U.S.

The presentation orients employers to the relevant information needed to hire Ukrainians in the U.S. including further detail on the Uniting for Ukraine program, asylum, humanitarian parole, and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) statuses.

Thousands of displaced Ukrainian professionals will be entering the U.S. workforce in the next 12 to 18 months and beyond. This new talent-rich pipeline creates key opportunities for employers to recruit and hire skilled professionals from this displaced talent pool and demonstrate genuine commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) during a challenging humanitarian crisis.

This is part of Upwardly Global’s strategic response to President Biden’s recently announced parole program (known as Uniting for Ukraine or U4U) that allows eligible Ukrainian nationals with U.S.-based sponsors to come to the United States on parole. Over 6,500 have already arrived in the United States under this program.

In May 2022, Upwardly Global sent a cohort from its Executive Leadership Team to Warsaw, Poland, to meet with employers and assess the challenges faced by Ukrainian refugee job seekers.
