Success Stories
Celestin, originally from Burkina Faso, has recently secured a position as a French Teacher at the Benjamin Banneker Academy after giving a sample lesson to a real class. Celestin has 12 years of experience as a French and English teacher but worked as a part-time assistant cashier, earning only $10/hour. The school hired Celestine as a substitute teacher at $180/day, while at the same time helping him to obtain his teaching certification papers. With four family members outside of the U.S whom he supports financially, a $100 increase per day goes a long way.
