Upwardly Global Employer T.I.P.s

Upwardly Global believes there are some small and easy steps employers can take to successfully tap into Immigrant Professional talent. In order to share some of these ideas, we have come up with Upwardly Global T.I.P.s. T.I.P. stands for “Tap Immigrant Professionals” and these simple and actionable items can help your organization create a more inclusive recruitment process.

T.I.P.s for Resume Review and Screening: Often, foreign-born candidates have clearly performed relevant duties in previous positions, but it is unclear that the type, size, or caliber of the company for whom they worked is comparable. Ask the candidate to share details about the size and scope of the company and to compare it with its U.S. counterparts. Immigrant candidates should be able to give you a good sense about the level at which they were operating to help you more accurately assess their skills and experience.
